“Medios Digitales, Diáspora y Realidades” Conference will be held by Cristal Acevedo, Director of Observatorio de Medios Digitales of Dominican Republic, at URBE University, today, October 26th at 7:00 p.m. Discussions about the impact of digital media in the United States and all over the world, Its transformation by technologies, and the use of the Internet in Latin America in 2018 are the main topics of the event. As part of the initiative called “Conversaciones con la Diáspora”, promoted through social networks by the architect and writer Rodolfo R. Pou, to keep celebrating the Hispanic Heritage Month in the United States.
The Asociación de Prensa Turística of Dominican Republic and the Círculo de Locutores Dominicanos of Florida have been invited. Local and international journalists, communicators, media outlets and directors, journalism professors from different universities and representatives of institutions linked to journalism, officials of the Dominican government, are among other invited personalities. Dr. Juan Tapia, Vice-President of URBE University, will participate along with other staff members or the University.
This event is open to the public and free parking is available for the participants.
