Assist with fact checking press releases.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Journalism or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of skills and experience.
EXPERIENCE: 5-7 years of experience in public relations and event planning in an agency or corporate setting required; financial and business media relations experience required. Hospitality or cruise line experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Strong interpersonal skills, superior intellect, and an outstanding ability to communicate a must. Outstanding oral and written communication and presentation skills, relationship-building skills in the media community, and the ability to collaborate with the executive team. Experience and knowledge of mass media and its workings. Must be willing to travel to assist with some events domestically and/or internationally. A strong understanding of strategic communication and the media. Proficient with Microsoft Office software. Must be detail oriented and have superior organizational skills. Demonstrable problem-solving skills; strategic and creative thinking. History of effective multi-tasking, expectation setting and escalation of issues where appropriate. Exceptional project management skills with strong attention to detail.
